We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic countryside professional to join our Open Spaces Team as a customer service officer based at our fantastic Wildlife Discovery Centre (WDC) located in the River Lea Country Park just North of Waltham Abbey Essex. You will contribute to the effective day to day running of the Wildlife Discovery Centre (WDC) and deliver excellent customer experience to our visitors including providing information on the local area and the wider park as a whole.

Assistant Rangers - Lee Valley Regional Park Authority

£28,701- £33,320 per annum, plus flexible benefits

Permanent - 35 hours per week (Monday – Sunday Shift Rota)

The Open Spaces Teams Rangers and Assistant Rangers are not only the guardians of the Park on the ground but they are their eyes and ears too. One large team split over two different locations. They look after an array of different habitats from wetland wonders to urban oases covering parts of the Lee Valley SPA and Ramsar Site, four SSSI’s, and numerous locally designated wildlife sites.
