Lorica Trust

Farm Activity and Events Co-ordinator – East Clayton Farm

Lorica Trust is a small, dynamic UK registered charity, working to improve school engagement and attainment of disadvantaged young people through land-based learning. Lorica Trust would now like to offer the Farm to the wider community to use and benefit from as the need dictates. They need an individual who sees people, events and animals as a passionate vocation not just a mundane job, who can link all the opportunities at East Clayton Farm together and create something special for people that need them.

You will need to be great at communicating and engaging with a range of people, often with complex needs, sharing the vision for the events you will be facilitating and managing. This passion and flair for communication must also resonate internally within their small team.

Priorities include:

  • Overseeing and delivering their donkey walking experiences
  • Supporting their volunteers and growing their volunteer offer
  • Supporting their Alternative Provision and developing creative ways to expand what they offer in partnership with their AP Manager
  • Expanding on their external visits
  • Developing offers to meet the need of those most vulnerable in their wider community

The work is fast paced and hectic, the Lorica Trust rely on effective internal communication to ensure they are always fit for purpose and quick on their feet to adapt and change to external pressures and influences. It’s this energy that makes them both a dynamic and vibrant place to be for their employees.

You need to have drive, enthusiasm, passion and real vibrancy for the world they work in and a willingness to work weekends and evenings, but in return they offer the chance to work on some truly ground-breaking projects.

There will be scope to develop your own ideas and crucially play a key role in expanding the reach and impact of their services.
