Temporary Field Surveyor Vacancies (Tree Health)

Self employed surveyor opportunities! Join our dedicated team for ground survey of oak trees for oak processionary moth nests on behalf of the Forestry Commission. Work starts 17th January, 40 hours a week to the end of March, with the possibility of extension and of joining our summer survey. Also potential opportunities to survey for other tree pests and diseases at other times of the year. £120 a day/ £15 an hour.

Own vehicle is required. Mileage payable beyond 25 miles each way 45p/mile. Provide own self employed public liability insurance, 8 x42 binocs, hand held GPS and smart phone.

Comprehensive training is provided throughout the first week. You will be working in a small dedicated team, with lone working occasionally required. Applicants should be fit, practical, reliable and dedicated with a good eye for detail and experienced working outdoors. Environmental qualification desirable but not essential.
