An exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in providing, maintaining and protecting access to the extensive public rights of way network across the county.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our busy and well established front-line service delivery team.
The Countryside Access Delivery Team provide a modern, responsive and effective maintenance service for the county’s residents and visitors across the 2600-mile public rights of way network.
About the role
You will assist and support the practical delivery of small-scale projects across the county. Operating from our new workshop based at Sutton near Eynsham the work will vary hugely from installing fingerposts, clearing fallen trees and vegetation to installing bridges, gates, surfacing and drainage projects as well as supporting the work of volunteer, community & special interest groups in this area.
In the Senior Officer role you will report daily to the Countryside Access Delivery Supervisor.
This post is permanent, subject to satisfactory probationary period and you will be required to fulfil the travel requirements of role.
You will have at least two years of experience to bring to a team setting with a view to consolidate or further develop knowledge of leading small teams to deliver high quality results on public rights of way. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to think on your feet and respond flexibly to competing demands on your time with a highly practical skill set developed in the field.
