The Heart of England Forest is a charity working to reverse centuries of woodland decline and plant and preserve a magnificent 30,000 acre native broadleaf forest for the benefit of the environment, people and wildlife. It will be protected and secured for generations to come. We have recently been awarded a significant grant from the Defra Green Recovery Challenge Fund to deliver a ground-breaking project that will support a green recovery in the Midlands.
The project scale and scope is huge, and at the heart of the project is the creation of 12 natural environment jobs that will play a key role in delivering this pioneering project that will be transformational, not just for the charity and its work, but also for the region and the wider sector.
