Summary

This position will focus on assisting with tree safety management at Saltram, primarily remedial works following Ash Die Back assessments.

What you'll be doing

With your endless passion for our work, you’ll help protect and care for habitats, wildlife, property and machinery. Your passion will inspire others to love this beautiful place as much as you do. We encourage engaging with visitors, making time to talk to them, not rushing away to the next task.

You’ll share our common goal with customers and build relationships in the local community, proudly representing the National Trust. Whether you’re maintaining our green spaces, assisting with guided visitor walks, or delivering fascinating visitor experiences, no two days will be the same.

In this role, you’ll work some weekends, bank holidays, evenings and being on-call.

We'd love to hear from you if you have;

• Able to deliver practical conservation work to protect and enhance the conservation status of the property
• Demonstrable passion for nature, heritage and the outdoors
• The ability to work safely, with risk assessments and compliance with safety procedures
• Experience in land, access and conservation management
• Competence with machinery and equipment as well as having the relevant certificates required, including Lantra Level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting qualification or equivalent.
• A full UK driving licence
