Rainforest Programme Manager

Plantlife are seeking a Rainforest Programme Manager to lead the delivery of our Rainforest Programme across England and Wales.

What will you be doing?

The Rainforest Programme Manager will lead the successful delivery of all aspects of Plantlife’s rainforest programme in England and Wales. They will work closely with Plantlife’s Rainforest Lead (Head of Scotland) and rainforest team, developing and nurturing partnerships to ensure the outcomes of the rainforest programme are achieved across England, Scotland and Wales.

The Rainforest Programme Manager will manage Plantlife’s team of rainforest advisors in England and Wales and have oversight of the development and delivery of advice and training to facilitate favourable management of temperate rainforest and it’s plant and fungi species.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week). We work normal office hours (9-5, Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch), although the role may also require some weekend and evening working for which time off in lieu is available. We also fully support flexible working.

The postholder will be home based, in or near the rainforest areas of England and Wales (Cumbria, northwest Wales, mid Wales, north Pembrokeshire, Devon and Cornwall). The role will involve frequent travel across England and Wales.

A driven, dynamic and experienced project or programme manager who is passionate about temperate rainforest and working in collaboration to achieve results. You will be ambitious to learn more about the ecology and requirements of rainforest plants and fungi. You will be resilient, adaptive to changing priorities and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Salary

£36,729 - £39,757.20 per annum
