It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining us. If you are passionate about the environment, conservation and tackling biodiversity loss you couldn’t be in a better place!
We are looking for someone with the skills, knowledge and experience to deliver vital conservation action towards BC’s 2021-2026 strategy.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of Butterfly Conservation’s Nature Reserves in Dorset and Wiltshire, working closely with BC Branch volunteers, staff and partners. You’ll also contribute to partnership and project development for landscape-scale conservation across the two counties, supporting both our threatened species and landscapes programmes.
This is a varied and active role and you’ll need a good understanding of the ecology of butterflies and moths, experience of delivering habitat management and knowledge of species monitoring techniques. You’ll have experience of working in partnerships and will be adept at engaging with a wide range of people including volunteers, land managers, government agencies and others.
You will become part of our Conservation team in the South West and will be able to draw upon the expertise of staff and branches across the UK. A full driving license, access to a car and business insurance is essential for this role due to the remote nature of some of our sites.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Closing date: Midday Wednesday 12 April 2023
Interviews will take place via zoom on Thursday 27 April 2023.
