FOR: The Conservation Volunteers

This role supports TCV in enabling people and communities to improve their health and wellbeing, develop skills, and make a lasting impact on the environment. A key focus will be delivering projects that contribute to Biodiversity - helping to protect and restore habitats, increase species diversity, and create resilient greenspaces. Core to this role is planning and delivering hands-on projects with volunteers from diverse backgrounds and abilities. You’ll help volunteers develop their own skills and foster a positive, inclusive environment through clear and supportive communication. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for nature. By giving your time as a Volunteer Officer, you’ll help us reach more people and deliver more projects that improve greenspaces for both people and wildlife. You’ll need to be reliable, organised, and adaptable. We also work with children and young people, so you should feel comfortable engaging with all age groups. You’ll also have opportunities to shadow and assist other staff, giving you a broad range of experience across different habitats and conservation techniques. No previous experience is required - just enthusiasm for biodiversity and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed. Time: 1 to 2 days a week. Please contact David Meechan d.meechan@tcv.org.uk or 07773200525 to submit interest.
