A new opportunity has arisen within our Countryside Access Service for the position of Principal Definitive Map Officer to help manage casework arising from applications to modify the Definitive Map and Statement. There are two Principal Definitive Map Officer posts that provide technical advice and guidance to the team, making sure they follow legislative and council procedures in dealing with applications. A key part of this role will to be to review and develop working practices and create procedures to ensure that the team functions as efficiently as possible.
Senior Ecologist - Ecolocation

Ecolocation are looking to recruit a permanent Senior Ecologist position with a specialism in bats, starting as soon as possible but no later than December 2020. We are very happy to consider full time or part-time hours as well as flexible working; what we’re really keen on is for you to be the right person for the job with the right skills to complement our existing team. Additionally, the right candidate will be asked to step up to the role of Acting Principal Ecologist from January 2020 for 12 months in order to cover maternity leave. You will be part of a small team and will take the lead on medium- to large-sized projects, liaising effectively with clients, completing a range of ecological surveys and impact assessments. You will also provide support to junior members of staff. You will also be required to put together fee proposals for new projects, so commercial awareness is a must.
