We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Trees and Woodland team. Never has it been more important to plant trees to help tackle climate change and improve biodiversity while providing opportunities for recreation.

We’re currently looking for a full time (37 hours per week) Woodland Creation Officer on a fixed term basis, until March 2025. You will be based at our office in Grassington near Skipton, with the potential for some regular home working.

Are you an experienced farm adviser looking for an opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Britain? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our Farming in Protected Landscapes team and make a real difference. The role is integral to the successful delivery of the Defra funded programme within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and will include: Helping to develop project ideas with farmers and land managers; Assessing applications; Providing recommendations to the Local Assessment Panels; and Providing monitoring and feedback on the progress of the scheme to Defra.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the iconic Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales. You will be primarily concerned with the maintenance of the public rights of way network and other access routes and it’s essential you can plan and implement, to a high standard, a variety of practical tasks. You will play a key role in maintaining engineered paths on the Three Peaks challenge route as well as assisting the Area Manager with developing and implementing the Three Peaks Project.
