JOB: Voluntary Conservation Trainee

This is an excellent training opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in conservation and land management. The successful applicant will receive a diverse range of training from heathland management, sustainable woodland management, to conservation grazing, along with more transferable skills. We offer a selection of training covering outdoor first aid, brushcutter and NPTC chainsaw use, in addition to species ID, cattle welfare and habitat management. Applicants must have some previous practical conservation experience, good communication skills, be computer literate, a good level of physical fitness, with a full driving licence. A rel qual is desired. Candidates must have a keen interest in the environment and be seeking a career in this field. Trainees anticipated commitment will be 3 days per week, for 12 months.
