St Andrews Botanic Garden is offering a horticultural summer internship opportunity for up to 2 suitable candidates for 2018. The candidate(s) will be enthusiastic about horticulture and will be aiming to establish themselves within the field of horticulture for their career. The Internship is sponsored by the Friends of St Andrews Botanic Garden and was inaugurated in 2016 to commemorate the voluntary contribution to the Garden of Marigold Speir, Helen Dingle and Anne Lightwood. It consists of an 8 - 12 week schedule working alongside experienced horticulturists and mentors and will include gaining experience across all aspects of horticulture and Garden maintenance. This will cover rock garden, soil types, vegetables, propagation and pruning, as well as glasshouse and collections maintenance.  The intern will also have the opportunity to work alongside the education and outreach team.
