JOB: Events and Engagement Volunteer

FOR: Somerset Wildlife Trust

The Trust run many events throughout the year where we need a helping hand on the day. Events could include helping out at our free or ticketed events, charity stands at carnivals and festivals, etc. This is an ad hoc, casual role, so hours are flexible - you can help out as much or little as you like. You can decide which events you would like to be involved with. Skills and abilities needed: enjoys meeting and welcoming people; money handling in some cases; own transport desirable; experience of working with children or adults in an engagement setting; interest and enthusiasm for nature and wildlife conservation; willingness to be outside in all weathers; able to work in a team and to communicate in an engaging and professional way to children and adults; understanding of child safeguarding and health and safety procedures (training will be given as needed); willingness to be involved in various tasks as directed.
