This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK covering the North York Moors National Park and Scarborough Borough. Working jointly for both the Authority and the Council, this new post will take a lead on climate change issues and reducing carbon emissions of both organisations’ activities to achieve net carbon zero by 2030.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK and help to shape our work making this National Park a great place for the public to enjoy. We need a high-quality person to lead our Ranger and Apprentice Services and be part of a wider team of around 110 staff and 600 volunteers who are delivering a great service in a wonderful environment. You will be playing the leading role to ensure our work on recreation and access continues to be strong, creative and dynamic, providing excellent opportunities for the public to enjoy our fantastic National Park.
