Greener Kirkcaldy

Volunteer Roles

JOB: Cycle Ride Leader/Assistant

BE4: 31/3/20

LOC: Kirkcaldy

PAY: Training and reasonable expenses

FOR: Greener Kirkcaldy

Greener Kirkcaldy runs activities encouraging people to walk and cycle more. We are looking to create a network of volunteers to run and assist with cycle rides across Kirkcaldy. Rides will vary from 2-14 miles in length. Volunteers can run activities for their own communities, groups or organisations, or assist with our public rides. We're looking for a team of committed volunteers to lead (or assist with) bike rides, carry out basic bike safety checks, make people feel welcome, encourage less confident cyclists and promote cycling as a mode of transport. Volunteers can also plan routes and carry out risk assessments if they would like to. Volunteers will need a bike in good working order, basic cycling skills and the ability to cycle at least four miles. Good communication skills and reliability are also important. We ask a regular commitment of at least once a month. ASK: Contact susan@greenerkirkcaldy.org.uk or on 01592 858458 for more information.
