6 continuous days (on a residential project) in July - August 2019. Can you spare a week to help get particularly disadvantage inner-city London kids out into the countryside for a week this summer? Free to Be Kids work with particularly disadvantaged children (aged 8-14) to help them experience feeling valued, brave, adventurous and successful - often for the first time in a long time. They achieve this principally via taking 'hard to reach' children out of London on residential projects based in natural environments. From torchlit nightwalks through the woods, paddling a canoe across a lake, or roasting marshmallows together under the stars, they need energetic and active volunteers to spend 6 days looking after groups of children during the residentials. No experience needed, but enthusiasm and energy are a must! Time commitment: 1 day's training in London/Oxford; 6 days on a residential during the Easter, Summer or October school holidays. ASK: .
