Salary: £22,073 - £23,912 per annum pro rata Hours: Part time, 18.75 hours per week
Contract: 16 months

The job will involve supporting the small team including the local lead warden managing the Mawddach reserve, a grazing officer and a project officer, to work with contractors to repair and install walling, fencing, cattle handling facilities, and to liaise with graziers to secure the appropriate grazing of the site.

You will play a pivotal role in helping young people find exciting mentoring opportunities & enable them to secure & pursue careers in the nature conservation sector. You will co-ordinate our network of mentors (a group of leading figures & experts in the sector, with skills ranging from photography to political advocacy). You need to be confident in dealing with people & have good interpersonal skills to support both mentees & mentors. You will have an interest in nurturing young people & helping them to develop & will be passionate about improving inclusivity within conservation. Applicants must be below the age of 28 at the time of application. We expect the role will with be for a min of one year, max of 3. This is an excellent role for someone looking to get into digital communications. We ideally want someone with a creative vision & an eye for detail. Web development & graphic experience is ideal, but we understand that individuals may have different backgrounds. Please do not be put off from applying if you feel you may not be experienced enough. You will work with all members of the committee, as well as members of AFON, to ensure the blog & social media accounts are kept up to date with the latest news, events & information. In particular, you will be working closely with the Associate Director to promote the Now for Nature campaign. You need to have a passion for social media & some experience with using different platforms. Experience with writing, & preferably editing other people’s wiring is highly desirable. You will need strong organisational skills in order to plan content for the blog, schedule social media posts & plan the social media strategy & content for campaigns. Applicants must be below the age of 28 at the time of application. We expect the role will with be 1-3 years.
