Red Squirrels Trust Wales are seeking to recruit a self-employed Project Coordinator for the Magical Mammals project which is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project will work to reinforce and safeguard red squirrel populations through controlling resident grey squirrel populations, red squirrel and pine marten reintroduction.
The overall purpose of this role is coordinate and deliver day to day project activity against agreed objectives and targets across Anglesey, northern Gwynedd and Clocaenog Forest working with a small project team. This includes community engagement, building relationships with key stakeholders, designing and managing a red squirrel and pine marten reinforcement programme together with grey squirrel control and being an ambassador for the project.
This contract is being offered for an initial six months from November 2022 to May 2023 (can be some flexibility on start date) and should focus on project setup and start-up.
Location is Anglesey and northern Gwynedd with regular visits to Clocaenog Forest. The maximum funding available for this six month contract is £13,750 inclusive of any VAT.
