Open Country is an inspirational Yorkshire-based charity with Hubs in Harrogate and Wakefield. We seek to enable people with any form of disability to both access and enjoy the countryside. We achieve this through a ground-breaking programme of countryside activities and the provision of information and advice.
We now seek two Countryside Activities Officers to support our existing activities programme, help us to establish new activities in both York and Selby and work to help us achieve the ambitious development plans outlined in our business plan. You would be working at the heart of this dynamic charity, in a small, professional and unfailingly friendly team.
There will be some events or activities requiring you to work at weekends or evenings. A full driving licence is essential, a D1 qualification is desirable.
The successful candidates will ideally have previous countryside project experience, but we will consider candidates who can demonstrate that they have transferable skills from other sectors. They should be self-reliant, resilient and have excellent verbal, written, social media and people skills. Above all, a sense of humour is mandatory!
Successful candidates will receive a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
