The Role

We are looking for a physically fit, enthusiastic individual to work with our current grounds team, maintaining the grounds and assisting in measuring and marking grave spaces, digging graves both mechanically and manually. Maintain all amenity areas on site to a high standard.

To assist office staff and line management with other duties on occasion. Comply with all statutory health and safety legislation and report any accidents, incidents, or faults to management in a timely manner. Take reasonable care of own and others safety as well as being sympathetic and empathic when communicating with members of the public.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a background in practical grounds maintenance or groundworks, along with experience using both large (e.g., 360 excavators, ride-on mowers, tractors, etc.) and small plant machinery (hedge trimmers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers etc.) would be desirable but training can be provided as well as a full UK drivers licence is essential. You should be prepared for the physical and outdoor nature of this position that requires you to work in all weathers.

Clandon Wood is a small team and you will need to be a good team player as well as good at interacting with your colleagues and customers.
