Salary £18,000 per annum, £30,000 FTE (3 days per week initially but with potential to increase hours as the job evolves).
Introduction to the William Robinson Gravetye Charity ( WRGC )
WRGC owns and maintains the Gravetye Estate in the heart of Sussex. William Robinson, a major figure in the Victorian gardening and landscape movement, developed the estate, which is now run by an independent charity with links to the Forestry Commission.
The Development Manager will initially work from home and liaise closely with the advisers and contractors of the charity and also with the Forestry Commission. They will provide fundraising and broader developmental assistance to this growing charity.
The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in fundraising and project management, will be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, have a good sense of financial awareness and budget monitoring, and be computer literate in Word and Excel, Regular travel to be expected. Forestry experience is not essential.
