Kehoe countryside LTD is looking for a countryside estate worker to help with an exciting range of countryside management contracts including works for the RSPB, Wildlife Trust, Local councils, Woodland Trust, Natural Resources wales, North and Mid Wales Trunk road agency and other partners. Welsh speaking is preferred but not essential.
In this wide ranging 'hands-on' role you will be responsible for the day to day tasks including:
There will also be opportunities to assist in the implementation of conservation management plans; be active in the environmental monitoring of key habitats and species; maintain and improve access and interpretation; promote community and volunteer involvement.
To be eligible you will ideally have either a formal qualification in countryside management or related discipline, with at least two years' post-qualification experience, or a minimum of five years' experience of countryside work.
You will need to be a good communicator and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of countryside management and nature conservation along with the ability to carry out the practical tasks associated with countryside management and visitor access. There will be a requirement for occasional weekend working.
