£22,183 - £24,982 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

Permanent 37 hours per week

Do you love the outdoors and enjoy working outside. Then this could be the job for you.

You will work closely in a small team that helps support the green space development department in maintaining and enhancing parks and open spaces.

A key part of your role will be increasing community engagement and working with hands on volunteer groups to enhance Cheltenham’s wonderful parks, green spaces and nature reserves.

The successful applicant will get a generous 25 days paid holiday entitlement per year rising to 30 days after 5 years (excl bank holidays), can join the County Council Pension Scheme, and work flexible hours.

To be successful you will need…

  • A level, NVQ3, BTEC or relevant professional horticultural / environmental qualification (relevant experience can be considered an alternative
  • Full valid UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience of working directly with the general public, or supervising landscape teams, whether this be in public/private business
  • Previous experience of volunteering team leading
  • Is customer focussed, responsive, and co-operative with customers
