Are you passionate about nature? Do you enjoy being outdoors and would love to be a part of shaping the future health of our nature reserves?
We are currently recruiting for three full-time Assistant Reserves Officers (AROs) as part of our ‘Kernow Glassa Project’. This is a new project to deliver multiple habitat and access works across our fantastic nature reserves. These roles are new 18 month posts to support us to deliver on this additional work.
Two of the posts will be based at our CWT HQ at Five Acres near Truro (TR4 9DJ). The other post will be based at our East Cornwall workshop at Bush Farm near Saltash (PL12 6QY).
As an Assistant Reserves Officer, you will be working in the Nature Reserves section of the Trust alongside our existing experienced and friendly team.
The role is extremely varied, and ideally candidates will have experience in delivering practical work. As you will be out on the nature reserves the majority of the time you must enjoy and be prepared to work outside in all weathers.
These new roles are suited to candidates who have practical land management experience and are qualified to operate equipment such as chainsaws and brushcutters. Training will be provided on the job including the opportunity to attend courses to gain or update existing skills and qualifications.
Due to the geographical location of our nature reserves, the applicant would benefit from a full driving license.
