The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Biodiversity & Restoration Business Partner to join our Sustainability Team, based in the south/southwest of England.

Reporting directly to the Senior Sustainability Specialist you’ll lead on the management and implementation of the companies biodiversity & restoration requirements, as well as our nature strategy which is currently in development.

You will support all of our business divisions, but most notably the Aggregates division in both achieving their legally required biodiversity actions as well as further enhancing the ecology on sites.

You’ll be joining a driven team seeking to position Aggregate Industries as an industry leading company when it comes to sustainability and biodiversity enhancement.

Who are you?

We’re looking for someone who has gained experience in their previous roles within the biodiversity/land management arena and has a good grasp of biodiversity management within corporate business.

Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, you’ll have the ability to plan and prioritise your workload, but more importantly a passion for biodiversity and the desire to make a genuine difference.

You’ll be used to sourcing and engaging with a wide range of contractors for works relating to site development restorations, aftercare and wide land management, for works including vegetation and woodland clearance, planting and seeding, habitat translocation, fencing, footpath creation and other countryside management tasks

You’ll be comfortable working and engaging with operational management, estates departments external groups and associations
