We are looking to recruit a new Rights of Way Officer to come onboard. Joining an Area Access Team, you will undertake the direct management of public rights of way, access to areas of open country and other forms of public access to the countryside including the Service’s own sites. The job has a wide programme of work, which includes the management of an Area Access Ranger Team. Working closely with the Area Countryside Access Manager, you will develop, plan and deliver your own work programme to attain high quality access along the rights of way network. The role includes frequent travelling throughout the area inspecting public rights of way, working with colleagues in the countryside and liaising with members of the public/landowners/stakeholders/contractors. The successful applicant will require a full driving license, use of a vehicle and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.
