We are looking for a motivated and innovative candidate to manage the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Environmental Records Centre (CPERC). Hosted by the Wildlife Trust BCN, this Local Environmental Record Centre provides access to information about species, habitats and wildlife sites for public, research and commercial users.
The role of the Centre Manager is to ensure the strategic vision, financial stability and sound management of the Local Environmental Record Centre (LERC). The successful candidate will provide day to day management and help maintain the business of the centre.
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Environmental Records Centre (CPERC) is currently expanding, and the restructure has led to this post vacancy, with the current Centre Manager moving to a more specialised Data Manager role. It will also be essential to liaise with biological recorders, other data providers, other record centres and partner organisations.
We are seeking someone with a keen interest in, and commitment to wildlife and environmental issues and an understanding of biological recording and the functions of a Local Environmental Record Centre. The successful candidate would also have experience of project management, fundraising, budgeting, databases, and staff management.
Hours: 30 hrs per week. Part time. We would consider 22.5 hours per week.
