Tir Coed is on the hunt for a third member to complete our senior management team as we embark on a period of major change for the charity and seek to transform the physical, mental, economic and environmental health of rural Wales.

Following an extensive recruitment drive to remodel our leadership structure, we have already secured not one, but two new CEOs.

We are now actively seeking a Development and Communications specialist to join forces with our Finance and Operations Directors to form an unstoppable leadership team in the three-way job-share that will take Tir Coed to new heights as we launch our ground-breaking AnTir project.

You will be responsible for public facing work, fostering partnerships and relationships, developing Tir Coed’s communication strategies and be the main point of contact for media and public speaking. You will work closely with your fellow directors to develop and fundraise new projects, communicate outcomes and stories from Tir Coed’s work to the world and support the growth of the charity, including our trading activity, within the four counties of Dyfed Powys.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective relationships with new and existing stakeholders, including partners, networks, organisations, communities and individuals at local, regional and national level.
  • Act as spokesperson and lead ambassador for the charity, maintaining and developing public awareness.
  • Ensure that the charity and its activities are accurately and pro-actively promoted in the media and across the full marketing matrix.
  • Handle media enquiries on behalf of the charity when required or delegate as appropriate.
  • Write and oversee the implementation of our communication strategies (external and internal)
  • Develop marketing campaigns to promote the multi-faceted programmes and achievements of the charity
  • Develop projects with the senior team and support/lead fundraising activities through a focus on outcomes, positive stories and powerful presentation
  • Develop the Tir Coed primary purpose trading business plan, increasing the self -generated income of the charity.
