£21,467 to £24,047 (dependent upon experience)
The post of Ranger (Health and Safety) forms a key role within Nene Park Trust’s Park Management Team, who are responsible for the day-to-day management of one of the most well-visited parks in the country with exciting ambitions for the future.
The post will form a core part of the Park Ranger Team, helping carry out Ranger duties within the Park to ensure it is well-managed and maintained, conserving its important heritage and wildlife, whilst also providing a welcoming environment for Park visitors.
In addition, the post will provide health and safety expertise. The successful candidate will adopt the role of health and safety ‘champion’, by keeping an overview of health and safety at the Trust as it relates to the activities of the Park Management Team and overall day-to-day running of the Park. The role will support the Trust’s Health and Safety Working Group, and will require the post holder to work closely with the organisation’s health and safety consultants - NFU - and assist the wider Trust team in working safely.
As a result, the Trust would expect any candidate to be at least IOSH Managing Safely accredited. A NEBOSH National General Certificate would be advantageous. For any candidates without NEBOSH, there would be an expectation that this training would be undertaken. The cost for this would be covered by the Trust, and allowance would be made for flexible working for this to be carried out.
