idverde Bromley is looking to recruit a Fundraiser. Our Fundraising Team has a good track record of raising external funding to enhance the borough's parks and open spaces, working in partnership with a diverse range of community groups, stakeholders and the London Borough of Bromley. If you are motivated; good at building strong working relationships; capable of developing robust and persuasive business cases and willing to join our busy team, you could be the perfect fit.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing compelling business cases for greenspace improvements across the borough, that are attractive to external funders. You will ensure that projects meet set objectives and comply with any legal, statutory and funder requirements. The role will assist with the preparation and implementation of consultation opportunities with communities and stakeholders, plus the monitoring and evaluation of externally funded projects. You will assist in organising fundraising events and publicity materials for both internal and external customers as well as preparing and delivering training materials for Community groups who wish to become proficient at fundraising.
The successful candidate will have a passion for parks and open spaces, and respect for the people who value them. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, who is keen to provide innovative solutions to problems as they arise and someone who is not deterred by setbacks. You will be friendly, positive and professional; able to engender trust and respect from Community Groups, plus highly organised with an excellent attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines under pressure is key.
We are looking for candidates to have a Degree, preferably in a relevant discipline, with experience of fundraising for social and/environmental impact and a minimum of one years experience working in a social/environmentally-related organisation/sector. You will need to be able to write strong persuasive proposals and have experience in successfully planning and managing projects. A track record of mentoring and supporting a range of stakeholders will be key, as well as excellent written/oral communication skills. You will be comfortable in using all MS Office packages and hold a clean Driving Licence.
