About the role:
We are seeking a Parks Infrastructure Officer to work across the West Suffolk Council district to help manage a diverse range of parks, open spaces and green infrastructure.
West Suffolk Council has achieved regular success in the Green Flag Award’s scheme and currently has 6 Green Flag parks and open spaces. The council’s parks, open spaces and green infrastructure host a range of sporting, cultural and community events throughout the year and welcome casual daily use.
This role will be directly responsible for ensuring that all key infrastructure within parks and open spaces is maintained and safe to use. This will involve organising repairs and improvements and ensuring these are carried out on time and in budget. You will report directly to and work closely with the Parks Infrastructure Manager.
What you will need:
You will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and well-organised. Have a knowledge of horticultural operations and be a good team player. An understanding of the importance of excellent customer service is essential.
This role will involve travelling to and working at numerous sites throughout West Suffolk, so a flexible approach to working arrangements is essential.
