Bat Conservation Trust

Land Management and Regenerative Advisor

This role will be key part of our new partnership project: Connecting People and Landscapes in a Changing Climate, made possible by funding from the Heritage Fund for an 18 month development phase (with the aim of securing four-years of delivery phase funding following this). We will work with land managers leading in the field of regenerative agriculture to share and develop best practice and transfer knowledge, training a new, more diverse generation in sustainable farming methods. The project will result in enhanced habitats supporting wildlife and improved connectivity, enabling dispersal and range expansion of species.

The project will connect local communities to nature, increasing their understanding of farming and the regenerative agriculture approach, resulting in reduced feelings of isolation in farmers. We will upskill volunteers and trainees, expanding access to nature to new and more diverse audiences.

We're seeking someone who has experience of working in the agricultural sector in an advice giving capacity. You will have an understanding of agricultural practices and their effects on biodiversity, including an understand of regenerative agriculture. You will be an excellent communicator and have experience of dealing with a range of people, including volunteers.
