Salary - Grade E (May be eligible to residential accommodation)
Grade E Residential - £43,360 - £48,640 per annum, Grade E Non-Residential - £39,530 - £44,380 per annum inclusive of all allowances (Basic and OLW) depending on experience
Job Type - Permanent, working 35 hours per week.

The role
An exciting position has arisen at our Epping Forest Open Spaces site for a highly skilled person to lead our arboriculture and land conservation team. We are looking for an industry experienced biodiversity expert that will lead on our Tree Management including care, cultivation, and safety management. A specialist advisor on vegetation and subsidence-related insurance claims and public health risks from insect and fungal infestations
The ideal Candidate
You hold a recognised arboricultural (or related discipline) qualification at National Diploma Level 4 or equivalent demonstrable experience, skills, and knowledge to a similar level. You have outstanding customer service experience in dealing with stakeholders on complex tree and conservation matters. You are highly motivated, flexible, and responsive to changes in priorities and demands. You have significant expertise in tree biology, tree risk management and tree maintenance. You are fully conversant with legislation covering Open Spaces and land management, highway, planning, conservation, and tree protection. You are competent in Health and Safety legislation and always committed to safety protocols and practices. You have substantial budgetary management experience producing regular reports and able to assist in recognising financial impacts on expenditure, operational goals and project management and delivery. You have a proven track record in managing teams and are committed to personal and team CPD.
