Senior/Experienced Arboriculture Consultant

TEP’s arboriculture service is well established and has always been a core part of our business. The team has grown steadily to deliver a diverse range of projects across all major sectors throughout the UK and we are now seeking to further increase our presence in Mid and Southern England.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Arboricultural Consultant with the confidence and ability to lead and co-ordinate projects, and with an enthusiasm for business growth and development.

We are looking for an experienced arboriculturist to help deliver our existing work in the south of England and contribute to our ambition for growth in the region.

We are seeking a committed professional who can demonstrate the application of BS 5837 and tree risk assessment, and who takes a pro-active and positive approach to project leadership. We need someone who is versatile and experienced in collaborating with a range of other professionals; someone who enjoys developing professional relationships with clients, acting as the day-to-day contact, and trusted to deliver high quality work.

The role sits within and is supported by our 11 strong team of arboricultural consultants. It comes with the opportunity for continued self-progression and longer-term managerial responsibilities for the right candidate.

TEPs arboricultural strong hold is in the North-west of England, therefore this position provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to forge a pathway within the company under guidance and support from our established team.

You will be involved in the provision of BS 5837 surveys, risk assessments and population management, with the opportunity to promote and develop these services. You will produce a suite of written and CAD based reports and drawings and have the opportunity to work on projects that are helping shape the UK’s housing, road, rail and energy infrastructure.
You will take an active role in helping expand TEPs current arboricultural offering to new clients as well as exploring new avenues of work and service development. You will be part of a collaborative team who seek to improve the standard of tree care and promotion through our work and activity.

The role is based in our London office in Southwark, but we anticipate flexibility with hybrid working arrangements as well as the opportunity to visit TEPs other offices as project, social events or training priorities dictate.

TEP provides a wide range of services to public, private and charity sector clients. We also sit on framework panels for Forestry Commission, Anglian Water, United Utilities and National Churches Trust Framework. You can expect to be involved with and support projects of varying size or complexity, from domestic tree inspections and tree hazard evaluation right up to national infrastructure projects and expert witness work.

In the last 12 months we have undertaken volume work for The Land Trust, Natural England, National Grid, English Heritage, volume housing builders and several historic estates. We have also produced strategic tree management documents for Wirral Council, Newcastle Council, Preston Council and Manchester City Council.
