Reserve Manager - Parsonage Down National Nature Reserve
£26,053pa (43 hours per week) - Permanent post.
Parsonage Down NNR is home to Cherry Lodge Farm, Natural England’s working farm and one of the largest most diverse calcareous grassland nature reserves in the UK. This iconic chalk grassland site is part of Salisbury Plain SAC and home to the oldest breeding herd of English Longhorn cattle.
The Reserve Manager will be part of a dedicated and innovative team who are creating a sustainable farm on a National Nature Reserve. This post is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for farming and wildlife, joining at an exciting time of opportunity and change.
The successful applicant will have experience in livestock management. They will be competent in the diverse range of practical skills involved in farming and land management for nature conservation.
An ability to work as part of a team, with a diverse range of people and manage workloads will be important. An understanding of the relevant legal obligations will also be required.
