Full Time: 37.5hrs per week
Location: Nene Wetlands, Northamptonshire
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
The Wildlife Trust BCN is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Ranger to oversee the management of the of the Nene Wetlands Nature Reserve; coordinating and delivering practical work, volunteer tasks, monitoring, management planning and liaising with visitors and the local community. The Senior Ranger will report to the Conservation Operations Manager (Northants) and will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Nene Wetlands nature reserve. This will involve practical work, volunteer tasks, management planning and monitoring, liaising with visitors and the local community and undertaking a range of on-site and outreach community engagement activities. These will involve people in the management of the site, increase their awareness and understanding of what it offers, why it is special and how it is managed. The Senior Ranger works closely with the Northants Reserves team and also oversees the management Summer Leys Nature Reserve, line managing the Nene Valley Reserves Officer who works across both Summer Leys and the Nene Wetlands.
