Berkshire Biodiversity Officer

Salary range: £22,627 - £30,451 per annum

The Thames Valley Environmental Records Centre (TVERC) are recruiting a Berkshire Biodiversity Officer. In this role you will take ownership of delivering our annual Local Wildlife Sites (LWS) project for Berkshire. This involves you working with the local authorities and landowners to plan, agree and deliver an annual programme to survey and evaluate a sample of the best habitats in Berkshire. After the field work is complete you will, digitise your records in GIS and the species database, write up reports and make assessments against the Local Wildlife Site criteria. Then you will arrange a panel meeting to review your findings for each site and make decisions about the status and actions for each site. Finally, you will communicate the decisions to the appropriate bodies.

We are a small team, and you will also have the opportunity to be involved in other survey and ecological data projects across Berkshire and Oxfordshire. This is likely to include surveying and condition assessment work for Biodiversity Net Gain projects in our areas amongst a range of other projects.
