Summary

We have an opportunity for a well-organised Facilities Manager to join our team here in Pembrokeshire.

For us, facilities isn't a back office function - you'll be out and about inspecting our properties and keeping on top of our systems. As part of the property team you’ll report into the General Manager, and be accountable for the running of all aspects of facilities management across our properties.

What you'll be doing

Day to day, you'll coordinate the facilities management for the Pembrokeshire portfolio, including monitoring and servicing our fire management systems, sewage treatment systems and biomass heating systems. You'll arrange urgent minor building repairs, and work with our Building Surveyor on larger projects. You’ll manage a small team of staff and volunteers and work closely with the Countryside and visitor welcome teams, ensuring we are compliant.

You’ll have budgetary responsibilities and will need to have good IT skills to use our systems.

Who we're looking for

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • An understanding of facilities management and maintenance requirements
  • Good experience of broad compliance and risk management, including knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM regulations, Emergency procedures and Fire & Security procedures.
  • Problem solving skills, the ability to work on own initiative, together with practical hands-on and organisational skills, including training or coaching others
  • Experience of managing budgets, finances, projects and contracts/contractors
  • Excellent digital and IT skills with the ability to learn and understand new systems
