BCP Council's Countryside Team is recruiting into a number of posts and we are looking for new starters as soon as possible. Joining a team full of passion, expertise and commitment to protecting BCP's many and varied natural spaces, we are looking for team players with a range of experience and flexible countryside skills.
BCP Council owns and manages land in stunning locations along the River Stour, on our urban heaths, seafront, cliffs and at Hengistbury Head. We graze goats, ponies, sheep and various breeds of cattle. We work closely with our fantastic volunteers who support our work and liaise closely with a range of partners.
We are recruiting for a Countryside Ranger, Countryside Assistant Ranger, Heathland Mitigation Warden and a Natural Habitats Operative.
You should be interested in managing habitats, engaging and leading volunteers, taking on a wide range of practical work and have broad, flexible skills to use plant and machinery, including tractor driving.
We are seeking hard working team players who can work across the countryside service and make a difference for people and nature.
As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which is to be applicable for all employees. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We are in the process of establishing a timescale for implementation and colleagues joining us will be included in these changes. Expected to be in place 2024.
