Gatwick Greenspace Partnership

Gatwick Greenspace Partnership (GGP) is one of the Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Living Landscape projects working across approximately 200 km2 of countryside and works to benefit people, wildlife and the countryside between Horsham, Crawley, Horley, Reigate and Dorking. For more information click here

The role

We are looking for a Conservation Project Officer (Gatwick Greenspace Partnership Officer) to deliver effective action for wildlife by delivering practical habitat management, community engagement, events and educational activities on the Gatwick Airport estate, and across the Gatwick Greenspace Partnership project area. This role will work directly with a range of stakeholders including local Councils, landowners, community group, schools and existing partnerships within the project area.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering habitat management projects and environmental engagement initiatives, as well as experience working with outside organizations at a professional level and managing volunteers.

The successful candidate will be passionate about conservation and committed to making a positive impact on the environment. To excel in this role, you will need to have the ability and confidence to work independently using your own initiative, while also working effectively as part of a larger team.
