£31974 – £34922 pa for 37 hours per week (pro rata for part time working)
Ranging from the New Forest Heritage Area through the Valley of the River Test to the North Wessex Downs ANOB, the Borough of Test Valley contains some of the most beautiful countryside in southern England. Our busy and high-profile Development Control team, within the Planning and Building Service, helps safeguard the Borough’s build and natural environment.
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us; people who have a real appreciation of trees in their natural setting and have experience of managing trees in a town planning context. Working within this unique area, you will be part of the Tree Team providing professional arboricultural advice to the Planning and Building Service, other services, Councillors and members of the public.
As a qualified Arboriculturist, holding an arboricultural or closely related qualification, to a minimum National Qualification Level 4, you will also have experience within the arboricultural or closely related sector. You should be fully conversant with both modern arboricultural practices and current tree protection legislation and procedures. It is important that you also have excellent communication and customer service skills essential in dealing with the public, colleagues, applicants and landowners on a wide range of tree related matters.
