Syntegra is a fast-growing multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy with offices in Reading, London, Bristol and Tonbridge. We have opportunities for seasonal ecological surveyors to assist our ecology team during the busy spring/summer period.
The role will include assisting our staff in a range of ecological projects including Preliminary Roost Assessments, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, and Dusk and Dawn Echolocation surveys.
Candidates should expect to work unsociable hours, weekends and at short notice, on their own or within a team.
All levels of experience would be considered but at least 1 year's survey experience is preferred. Not essential, but highly desirable that candidates have a bat class license. Full training will be provided for any new tasks. Applicants should be reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working individuals with a minimum of a BSc in ecology, biology or related subject. We accept applications from both self-employed individuals or small companies.
Applicants must have access to their own vehicle and a full driving license. Rates of pay TBC but is dependent on experience level and will include any reasonable travel expenses incurred.
Successful applicants will be added to our register and offered work on a casual or project by project basis. Candidates may refuse projects offered, but once a project is accepted candidates will be expected to commit for the duration.
The projects offered are dependent on work won by the company, therefore there can be no guarantee on the amount of work, project type or location offered.
