Start date: mid-April 2026

Role 1: A full time handy man/person / carpenter / caretaker / property maintenance engineer with 10+ years’ experience.

Knowledge of residential and commercial properties / gardens in a professional working environment, including but not limited to:

• General property maintenance, carpentry and routine maintenance;
• Outdoor maintenance;
• Liaising with external contractors and overseeing works when required;
• Ensuring tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and safe;
• Proactive identification and resolution of maintenance issues.

Role 2: Part time cleaner (15 hours per week with the potential to grow over time + overtime).

A careful and diligent cleaner required for office and home environments across the Estate.

• Daily cleaning, laundry and deep cleaning;
• Occasional cooking;
• Ad hoc tasks; shopping and errands.

Live in couple must have:

• Full UK driving license;
• Clear criminal record / DBS check;
• Be willing to live on-site, full time;
• Be practical, hardworking, good communication skills, honest and easy going;
• Confidentiality, discretion, reliability, and professionalism;
• Proven relevant experience;
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills;
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  
  

Background

This busy private estate is made up of five houses and various outbuilding across 20+ acres of informal and formal grounds near Windlesham, Surrey.

The couple would join a team of c. 10 people working on the estate in various professional fields and assist the estates director with property related maintenance matters, supervising contractors and helping with new projects.

Living on site, the couple will be needed to be available over the Easter and Christmas periods (not all the time but in moments of need and overnight in an emergency / as required).

Package

A large 3 bedroom cottage in good condition with access to a private garden and swimming pool.

Handy man - Full time - Salary of £40,000 PA

Cleaner - Part time - £15,600 PA (with the potential to increase over time) + overtime
