Events Team Member

Location: Working from a range of reserves including West Blean and Thornden Woods, Canterbury, Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve and Tyland Barn Nature Reserve, Maidstone.

Salary: £12.82 per hour

Hours: Zero Hours

Contract Type: Sessional tutor, casual contract

The Job: This post is an opportunity to work as part of the Kent Wildlife Trust team to prepare and deliver exceptional events for adults, giving people the chance to experience nature and the outdoors in a variety of ways.

You: You will be an enthusiastic team player with a desire to share your passion for the great outdoors with others. You’ll be confident leading groups of adults for tours and activities and be able to adapt to different levels of skills and knowledge within your group. You will be responsible and trustworthy, with a positive, problem-solving attitude, and have a flexible approach. You will be able to demonstrate skills and experience such as:

  • Previous events delivery and planning, ideally within an outdoor environment.
  • Public speaking and story telling skills.
  • A knowledge of British wildlife, the concept of wilding and environmental issues.
  • Working with Health and Safety procedures and risk assessments.
  • Working successfully within a team, but also taking the lead and delivering independently.
