Wilder Communities Manager

Full Time – 35 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract for 3 Years
Salary: £35,000
Location: Beechcroft House, Vicarage Lane, Curdridge, Southampton, SO32 2DP and Hybrid

We are seeking a Wilder Communities Manager to join our cause.

This Fixed Term role involves:

Management and supervision of the Trust’s Wilder Communities work

  • Providing direct line management to all Wilder Communities Officers & 1 Engagement Officer (currently 6 staff members).
  • Project managing all Wilder Communities projects, including developing work plans, managing budgets and ensuring impact measurement and reporting is completed.


Development of Wilder Communities

  • Monitoring and reviewing the external funding environment for new funding opportunities to support ongoing community focussed work within the Trust.
  • Working with the fundraising team to develop new and innovate funding streams for communities work.


Reporting, impact measurement and evaluation

  • Supporting the Director of Advocacy and Engagement, and the Deputy Director of Engagement with quarterly financial and strategic reporting.

Experience

  • Significant experience of working with a range of audiences, developing engaging programmes to promote nature connection and empower action for nature in communities.
  • Significant experience of staff management.


Knowledge

  • Excellent understanding of health and safety and safeguarding requirements.
  • Good knowledge of how to develop and lead successful projects.


Skills

  • Effective communication and public speaking skills.
  • Well organised with good time management skills.


Personal Qualities

  • Able to work on own initiative and with a team.
  • Approachable and engaging manner.
