Practical Conservation Project Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in a varied practical conservation and river stewardship programme in and along the River Aire in Yorkshire.

If you are looking for a role that enables you to make a real difference for people, places and nature and have developed a mix of practical environmental and volunteer leadership skills this could be the ideal role for you.

Our work as a Rivers Trust is broad but focuses on improving the River Aire and its tributaries within the Aire valley. Our staff and volunteers work with riverside landowners and local authorities to improve riverside footpaths; improve water quality; tackle litter and pollution; create new habitats; reduce flood risk; and care for green spaces for local communities.

You will be joining a popular and well-established programme, working as part of an experienced team with opportunities for training and development. Our volunteer programme covers the whole of the upper and middle Aire from Leeds to Malham but with a particular focus on the communities of Keighley and Bradford.
