Annualised hours
1646 hours per year (average of 31 hrs per week) on a set rota
£18,745 rising to £20,902 per annum

Based at Nowton Park in Bury St Edmunds you will be working within the existing ranger services. The role is varied and will include the following duties:

• Carrying out patrols, site security and enforcing regulations

• Being a point of contact for the public and advising on the use of facilities

• Assisting in the running of events

• Maintaining the protection and security of the flora/fauna, facilities and equipment within the parks and green spaces

• Working with volunteers on conservation, maintenance and landscaping tasks

• This role will involve working some unsociable hours and lone working so a flexible approach to working arrangements is essential.

You will be keen to be involved in the care of green spaces and facilities and an enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn is essential.
