Field Grown Tree Production Trainee

At Hillier, we are looking for a reliable and passionate person to join our friendly production team. Based in Liss in our open ground, tree production nursery, this role is on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a well-rounded outdoor position that provides training for all stages of the tree-growing process and is ready for you to get started!

Key accountabilities:

• Managing all aspects of plant husbandry, plant care and pest monitoring
• Tree lifting
• Prepping and packing customer orders
• General maintenance of the nursery
• Drive the Hillier vision of being the first-choice for top-quality plants and trees.

   
About you:

• Enthusiastic
• Dependable
• Have a passion for horticulture or arboriculture
• Wanting to develop a long-term career within the horticulture industry
• Keen to learn
• Be fit due to the physical demands of the role and happy to work all year round in various weather conditions

Working Hours:

07.30 – 16.00 Monday to Thursday
07.30 – 15.00 Friday
Overtime required to be worked during busy periods.
