You and your team and the animals that they tend will very much be in the public eye and as such presentation and animal welfare are of paramount importance
What you'll be doing
The role is primarily based at Dinefwr Park in Llandeilo, but part of the job will mean travelling out to Llanerchaeron, near Aberaeron, on a weekly basis to support staff there.
This role is both a practical one and an administrational one. from a practical point You will organise and lead animal welfare checks, medicine administration, TB tests, winter housing arrangements and day to day husbandry. As well as arranging for contractual haylage harvesting, you'll also be expected to provide cover for stock duties when one of our farm workers is on annual leave or rest days and setting rota's for the farm workers and external support contractors and ensuring 7 day cover is in place for both sites.
You will be responsible for animal sales and purchases, breeding programmes and working with the White Park Cattle Society, ensuring our farm records, movement diaries, medicine records etc are up to date and fit for animal welfare and cross compliance audits.
